Coach Mike Salmon

Mike started playing volleyball on the beach in high school and college, participating in every 2’s sand tournament he could find. As there was no High School men’s volleyball in Michigan, Mike played basketball, football, and baseball (also some Hockey and Golf) and has spent his whole life actively playing and teaching many types of sports. Three years ago Mike got into indoor volleyball in a big way, organizing, coaching and playing on an A level Co-Ed Team and an A/BB level Men’s team that travelled all over Texas playing in various USAV volleyball tournaments. He has coached girls volleyball (his daughter Ava’s teams!) for three years and he still plays competitively. He thoroughly enjoys teaching the skills, strategies, and intricacies of the game and just getting a chance to play more volleyball.
